Lately, several friends have reached out to me for job seeking help. They’ve asked if I know anyone hiring, if I can look at their resume, etc. I’m happy to help. Thing is… I don’t actually feel that helpful. These friends have specific skill sets, and I’m not sure who’s hiring for those needs right now.
I have a pretty big network so it sucks to feel useless here.
More details coming soon, and I’ll update the landing page and automated emails as needed. But so far I can promise you I will:
Roast a past version of my resume, showing you how I improved it
Share my tactics for applying for jobs, and how to follow-up
Tackle tough questions like, “What do I do when the recruiter asks me about my salary requirements on that first screening call?”
After the event, I will send out a survey for you (the job seeker) to fill out your years of experience, field, industry, etc. Then I will anonymize that list. Then I will share it with hirers, brokering double opt-in intros whenever possible.
SparkToro (my employer) is the media sponsor because our Goldcast webinar platform is awesome. Don’t worry, I won’t sell you things and I won’t drop you into our marketing list. That would not be cool.
Feel free to forward this to friends. The more, the merrier!
This is a great initiative! 👏🏼I’ve signed up and looking forward to it
Yay!! Glad you’re joining us!
